After more than 20 years of intense prayers and intercessions for the nation, the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) has been instrumented by the Lord to trumpet the message which the Lord revealed to Bishop Daniel Balais last March 2009 (during the Cindy Jacobs Prophetic Conference sponsored by the Philippines for Jesus Movement, March 6 and 7, at the San Juan Arena, San Juan City) about the 490 years completion of the nation by the year 2010 since we were “discovered” by Ferdinand Magellan, the Portuguese explorer who was commissioned by King Philip II of Spain on March 16, 1521.
They planted the cross on our shores exactly 490 years by the year 2010 based on Biblical counting (You add one year because the year is reckoned from the beginning, not at the end, like Jubilee is 7 sets of seven years: 7x7=49 but 50th year is recognized and celebrated in Israel as in Leviticus 25:10).
This was a glorious unveiling of something no one was aware of, a message of hope that has gone throughout the whole width and breath of our nation and that has triggered unprecedented prayers and fasting throughout the whole Body of Christ!
Based on the principle of Jubilee outlined in Leviticus 25: 8-17, the 49th year (7x7) will be the Jubilee in Israel when the trumpet (ram's horn) is blown throughout the land and every person shall return to his or her possession and to his or her own family! It is freedom and restoration to each one's identity, honor, dignity and inheritance. It is a great day of rest and liberty in Israel when debts are cancelled, slavery is terminated, land ownership is restored, families are reunited, material sufficiency is provided, right relationships are re-established and justice is administered. It is a great day of celebration providing freedom, equality and liberty to all!
The 490th year therefore is a Jubilee of Jubilees! Based on Daniel 9:24, six redemptive events are powerfully defined:
- finish transgression;
- put an end to sin;
- make reconciliation for iniquity;
- establish everlasting righteousness;
- seal up vision and prophecy; and
- anoint the Holy of Holies.
490 is 49x10 or 70x7! It signifies a great deliverance from the effects of the past sins, transgressions and iniquity! It cancels its effect to give the nation and the people a new beginning, a fresh start in pursuit of their God-ordained identity and destiny. It is Jubilee multiplied 10 times!
It is a display of God's immeasurable mercy and grace upon people and nations, the sheep of His pasture (Psalm 95:7; 100:3).
